We reserve the right to change our delivery services at any time. Any orders placed prior to change will always have their order fulfilled and dispatched as chosen at time of ordering.

Free Collection from Shop

If you are in Bristol and would like to place an order and collect from the shop, you’d be most welcome to! Our shop is at: 

15 Cannon St, Bedminster, Bristol, BS3 1BH.

Please email Meg at nofrillsknitting@gmail.com or use the Contact Page to arrange collection prior to ordering. A discount code for free shipping will be given once contacted. 

Royal Mail Second Class

Flat rate of £3.50 P&P on all orders shipped in this way. Royal Mail aim for delivery 2-3 working days from posting date. We visit the post office at least three times a week, so orders are often posted the same or next working day.

Royal Mail First Class Signed For

Flat rate of £4.95 on all orders shipped in this way. Royal Mail aim for delivery the next working day from the posting date. We visit the post office at least three times a week, so orders are often posted the same or next working day. A signature will be required upon delivery, otherwise it will be returned to your local sorting office. A tracking number will be issued in your fulfilment email for you to check progress.

Outside UK

We are currently unable to ship orders outside of the UK.

Shipping outside the UK is at the discretion of No Frills Knitting, however at this time it’s not possible due to rapidly increasing workload of the very small team at No Frills Knitting.

If you place an order for an address outside of the UK, you will be contacted and refunded, but please note, a small charge will apply to cover fees incurred by international transactions, currency conversions and website/bank fees.

If you have previously ordered from No Frills Knitting in the past with your order shipped internationally, I hope your order arrives soon. If your order does not arrive 60 working days after your fulfilment email was sent, please let me know. It will be nearly impossible to recover your order, however I can try and claim some of the money back and issue a refund. This is in line with Royal Mail Guidance.

No Frills Knitting is not responsible for any customs charges or additional taxes incurred. Please be aware of this at the time of ordering.

Alternative Services

Arranging your own Courier

We are happy for you to arrange your own courier service to deliver your order if you are not satisfied with Royal Mail or our delivery options.

We can provide you with more information with regards to courier collection from us when contacted using our contact form at the top of the page. We require an email confirming your courier booking and details of the collection prior to handing over an order.

Please contact us prior to checking out as courier collection may not always be possible due to it being an alternative service.

Hermes Delivery for Swifts

Royal Mail won’t deliver a swift as they are too long. If you order a swift, please remember to select the Hermes delivery option at checkout so it arrives in good time. We try to use Hermes Next Day where possible, however for those in remote areas (Cornwall, Highlands, Islands, rural Scotland and rural Wales), your order will be shipped using the fastest method on offer.

The delivery instruction will always be “do not leave parcel unattended” (unless you contact us with a safe space or a neighbour’s details), so hopefully it shouldn’t ever be left outside your front porch on full view.

If you’re not ordering a swift but would prefer Hermes anyway, you’re also welcome to select this option at checkout.

Incorrect Delivery Selection at Checkout

In the eventuality where the wrong delivery type is selected at checkout, you will always be contacted by email by No Frills Knitting.

There are three options to rectify this and get your parcel dispatched as soon as possible:

  • Paypal the desired postage cost to nofrillsknitting@gmail.com. Please email me to let me know when this has been sent.
  • Purchase another item (any item!) and select the correct delivery at checkout. It’s a flat rate so will be covered. Email No Frills Knitting with both your order numbers so the packages can be combined.
  • We can cancel your order and refund you the money. Please note, you will be charged a small fee to cover fees incurred by transactions through the website and/or bank. It will normally be around £1, but this is dependent on the total order value. Please allow 3-5 working days for refunds to be processed before contacting us.

We are aware that there is currently an issue with Apple Pay selecting the default ‘free postage’ option on any checkout. If paying with Apple Pay, please check your delivery options prior to paying, just to make sure your delivery is processed ASAP. I have made my website hosts aware of this issue and they’re working on finding a solution to this accelerated checkout.

If there is no response to an email sent by No Frills Knitting regarding shipping selection has been received within 10 working days, your order will be cancelled and you will be charged a small restocking fee to cover fees incurred by transactions through the website and/or bank. You will receive 2-3 reminder emails during these 10 days. Exact confirmation of the fee amount will be emailed to you upon cancellation. Please allow 3-5 working days for your refund to come through.
