Hiya! We're No Frills Knitting, a natural fibre yarn and knitting shop based in Bedminster, Bristol. We're just a friendly group of knitters who love knitting and want you to love knitting, too.

Opened in 2021 by Meg, No Frills Knitting is a friendly, independent yarn and knitting supplies shop in Bedminster, South Bristol. We stock loads lovely natural fibre yarns, tip top knitting needles, crochet hooks, knitting patterns, craft books, haberdashery... everything a crafter needs, all tried and tested by our team of expert knitters.

We also host regular knitting workshops and crochet classes in Bristol, with something suitable for all skill levels, and, obviously, we're always happy to answer your knitting questions and help you figure out your next knitting project - it's what we do best!

A pop-up fabric shop every month(ish) in Bristol

For one weekend a month (give or take) we turn our friendly Bedminster knitting shop into a fabric shop here in South Bristol!

Bristol sewists, we've got loads of fabric for ya. Lots of classy cottons, lovely French linens and cotton canvas, cool block prints, lots of ginghams and checks... basically all of the really, really good fabric for all your sewing projects and stuff.

On fabric pop up weekends we’re open Saturday, 10am - 5pm and Sunday, 12pm -4pm.

All the yarn brands and knitting supplies we stock are ones we genuinely want to, and do, knit with ourselves. Yep - everything in our independent knitting shop has passed the No Frills Knitting test.

We're proud to be a UK stockist of Sandnes Garn, we loooove all the Knitting for Olive, and obviously we're smitten with the Cardiff Cashmere. We also stock Noro, West Yorkshire Spinners and World of Wool, just to name a few.

As big Lopi fans, we've built up one of the best ranges of Istex Lopi yarns, including Lettlopi, Álafosslopi, Kambgarn and Plotulopi. If you're after a proper icelandic wool for a proper icelandic sweater, you're in the right place.
