Erika Knight Pure Tweed (100g)
Erika Knight Pure Tweed (100g)
If you were looking for a sign to knit a cardigan or jumper, Erika Knight's Pure Tweed is it.
Just as a packet of M&S biccies, ain't just any biscuits, Pure tweed ain't any old tweed yarn. It's a traditionally woollen-spun tweed yarn in Aran weight that's quite frankly, crackin'. It's nice and airy with a lovely voluminous texture and we love the colour range with those tasty tweedy flecks.
The wool used in this yarn comes from sheep in Europe and New Zealand, and the yarn is spun in Ireland, in the County Donegal. As always with rustic carded yarns: be sure to put a washed swatch on the shelf! The wool really blossoms again after the first wash.
