Melange Sweater Baby | PetiteKnit Printed Knitting Pattern
Melange Sweater Baby | PetiteKnit Printed Knitting Pattern
Melange Sweater Baby is worked from the top down. First, the back yoke is worked back and forth in stockinette stitch. Then, each shoulder is worked separately and joined to form the front yoke. Front and back yoke are then joined to form the body, which is worked in the round on a circular needle. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up and knitted along the armholes, worked in the round on double-pointed needles or on a circular needle using the Magic Loop technique. Finally, the rib edge at the neckline is worked from picked-up stitches and folded double. Melange Sweater Baby is worked in two strands of yarn in contrasting colors to achieve the marled or “mélange” color.
